Why do some people prefer to ask questions, and some people answer questions?

well there are a lot of questions I'd like to ask but some people get upset and delete them for no reason...so it is easier to answer questions. Also you get 2 points for answering a question but you lose points when you ask a question.

I know I prefer to answer question because I like to help, I like to write, and I like to use my brain.  Some people may like trying to solve puzzles and problems.  

I think people who like toask alotof questions just like to socialize and see what people's opinions are.  Maybe they like to gather data or maybe they are just downright perplexed and need answers!  Peoplelike to ask here because it is anonymous as well.
