specifically, you sometimes hear that democracy will never work in Iraq, China, etc... but I find that to be a completely ridiculous argument.

Democracy IS the best form of government for EVERY country in the world. right or wrong?

  1. If you are talking about the U.S., we do not have a democracy. The U.S. has a representative republic. Big difference. As for democracy not working for every country, that is true. Not all people want to be free. Many countries prefer socialism and being told what to do, think, work, etc.

  2. Half right so it's wrong... a democratic republic is the best. The will of the people so long as it is not a Constitutional issue, and that is where the courts are SUPPOSED to come in..

  3. Because democracy is not the best form of government it has never worked.  As soon as the majority figures out they can vote themselves payments from the treasury its over.

Besides democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what's for dinner.

  4. Wrong. A Republic is the best.

  5. Wrong.  Popularity contests for picking a leader only work when the public is informed.  Just look at how many dictators are picked in largely uneducated and democratic African nations.

  6. take a good look at your question! you sound just like " THEM! "

what would you do to prove that ' YOU! ' were right???????

  7. I think so.

  8. Wrong. Its only the best government if that country WANTS it. There's no sense in forcing it on them. We are not the worlds police. We can help, but really, how would you like it if a dictator or communist leader decided that their form of government was best for us and decided to convert our country and force its ideas upon us? isn't the whole idea of democracy freedom? so if we force something on a sovereign country are they free to do their own thing? no....

  9. The n***s rose to power in democratic Germany in the 1930s. Hugo Chavez initially was democratically elected in Venezuela in 1998.
