Why do some people say that slice bread was a great invention?

Have someone bake you a ban of bread and try cutting it fresh and you will see this is no small task

It's actually 'sliced' bread.. and if you don't have any sharp serrated knives in the house, pre-sliced bread is a God send...  Imagine trying to slice bread using a butter knife..
