Why do some people scream or yell when they are crying or emotional or even angry?

one of my friend acted weird, one time i got in a little argument with him bout the rent because hes my roommate, so... i pay half of the rent and he does the other half every month, dis month he didn't pay half the rent, so we argued and he suddenly got emotional and started crying i told him why ur sad bro he said i miss my family, his families back in england and he hasnt seen them in 2 years, suddenly when he cried he yelled and screamed his eyes widened i didnt know what to do he started gagging and puked and yelled couple of time and cried but then i took him to an emergency hospital his still dere can some one tell me what disorder is this, like why do people scream and yell when there crying or emotional and angry at the same time ? please help its important for me to know cuz hes my best friend :(

he might have had a lot of emotions bottled up inside and the rent was the straw that broke the camels back and he exploded. people need to vent and let their emotions out. otherwise your emotions will just eat at you untill something like what happened to your friend occurs.

its a way better alternative than hurting somebody, or themselves. its actually pretty healthy. its really unhealthy to hold it inside, and can lead to mental, and physical illness. just like an animal growling, or whining. since were animals its a pretty natural instinct :)

It's the balance of human emotional nerves system.  every action has its answer. And I am sure there is no such non sense reason.

Psychologically it is something like letting your steam out lol

Or to just show to others that she/he is very very mad/sad etc.

Just like when a baby cries.

Some people don't scream because they can control their emotions better than others

It's um...pretty normal for you to scream/get angry/cry...that's not a mental disorder hun...

Well they do all that stuff cuz they need a way to get out all that emotion, anger or frustration. Just know that ur best friend luvs u (as a best friend) and he needs time to get through his problems. Try talking to him say "Whats wrong" "Do u wanna talk" eventually he will open up.

they do it so other people will notice them instead of just saying oh another sucker crying his eyes out but i think it is annoying
