Why do some people seem to be living the best life ever?

I see so many people getting married having children, taking vacations, buying nice houses and cars. Here I am running my own business for almost 3 years now and I can't afford to buy a new car or a nice house and I have yet to meet a real man. I believe very much in god and I pray all of the time but nothing has happened yet.

Honestly?  I would consider my family one of those "perfect" types - but its not true.  We have a nice house, car, loving relationship, ect....and $25,000 in Credit card debt!!  You pick!!

I may only be 17 but I think to myself that some people just make the right choices about life. Either that or nothing goes wrong for them. The best dicussion of why some people always seem better off than others was a line from an episode of Malcolm in the Middle: "Dewey is a flier, he'll just drift and float through life and things will turn out for him, but you and I, Malcolm, are burrowers, we are at our best when our heads are down and we're grinding through a mountain of drudgery". It really makes sense if you compare the way some of my friends' lives are turning out as compared to mine.

Don't try to keep up with the Jonses....it's not important what everyone around you is doing it's important what you do...just keep trying your best and try to get every little bit of happyness you can out of life..if you base your life on the accomplishments of others it'll just make you crazy and miserable...

The grass is always greener on the other side. Trust me! It just seems like they are happier. Nicer cars mean a higher car payment which equals= more money which equals = more work!  ETC...

This is going to sound super crazy, but you should watch the movie "The Secret". It's awesome. It has worked for us like unbelievable!  We too believe in God... but its all about how your state of mind is. What you project in life is what you get in return.

Go rent it!  (i know it sounds cheesy, but trust me!)
