Why do some people spell Qantas Quantas?!

Why do some people spell Qantas Quantas?! Can't they spell?! Atleast one answer on Yahoo Answers someone spells Qantas Quantas! Are they blind?! Even on YouTube videos about Qantas someone in the comments page does the same where it clearly has the words "Qantas" as the videos name. why they always spell like that?!

The same reason they spell "bought", "brought" or "what", "wot" etc.

Its just ignorance and poor education.

Because in English language Q is always followed by a U, people make the mistake because they don't think of it as an acronym, they think of it as a normal word.

If they knew it is an acronym for Queensland And Northern Territory Air Service, they would spell it right. It's just pronounced like it has a u.

It's a qite common mistake, since in English the letter "Q" is normally followed by the letter "U". A better qestion might be, why does it bother you so much? I'm qite sure you have better things to worry about than the qality of other people's spelling.

It can be easy to misspell. Sometimes when typing I may add a U just because I was not paying attention. Happens to everyone
