Why do some people think bisexuals are s***s?

I went to visit my sister and her friends at her house one weekend before I went to Boston for a trip. I was just having a friendly conversation with my sister, when a friend of hers butted in rudely and said" I heard you're bi, you must be a real s**t." I am actually really modest and still a virgin. She was never so blunt and rude to me until she said that and it ticked me off. Why do people steretype bi people as s***s? Where did this come from?

people seem to be under the impression that people chose to be bi and they do it so they can sleep with whoever they please. Sadly there are a few people out there who conform to this stereotype which simply adds fire to the flames.

ppl think bi ppl r s***s or man whores mainly because bi ppl like both same-s*x and opposite s*x ,so ppl see this and say "oh there getting so much more then me cuz they like same and opposite s*x" but really there not its just like any other relationship out there

because honestly a lot of them all...not all are of course but the MANY i know...are.

That's the reason it was so hard for me to tell people. And only two or three people actually know. My very very good friends. I'm the exact same way. I'm a virgin and very shy and modest as well. I hate stereotypes cause people think if one bi person is kind of S****y, all of them must be. It stresses me out. Sure, we are attracted to both types, but it's not like we go around sleeping with all of them. I've been with one person for over a year. I am attracted to the other s*x, but I wouldn't do anything. Cheating is cheating. The true s***s do it with both, but I don't think they are attracted to the same s*x. They just want to get some. Or they say, "She's a girl, so it's not cheating. Having a girlfriend and a boyfriend is ok." That is very whorish.I think you should have smacked her. Seriously, that's a very bitchy thing to say to your face.

She could be referring to you in that name due to the fact that you find both genders sexually attractive. She probably thinks you're having intercourse with both genders (when in fact you say you're not) hence her thinking that way.
