Alot of the time people assume black and latinos live in the ghetto and whites are always rich. Those are stupid stereotypes.

And that thing, "Black in America"..wut was that about?

White people can go thru the same thing as any black/latino, right?!

  1. because that's what their TV tells them to think.

  2. Blame it on the main source: The media. They push these perceptions of various groups, be it positive or negative, and society tends to embrace them as truths.

Don't pay Black In America any attention, that 'special' was so biased/twisted to show the negatives that I fear what would happen if they were to do a "Hispanic/Asian/whatever in America" special.

  3. I find it funny how some people are blaming blacks and hispanics for the way they're depicted in the media. Latinos like myself would love to see positive role models in the mainstream media. Whenever you see a latino on film or tv its usually in a negative or subservient role. While the reality is that you see Latinos in walks of life in the real world. For example, a large percentage of police officers in southern california are hispanic but if you were to go by the media, you'd think 90 percent of the LAPD were white.

Anyway, those are the stereotypes in the media but Latinos and blacks have also suffered institutional racism. For example, Mexicans were segregated in the southwest and attacked by groups like the Ku Klux Klan just as Blacks were in the South. If you really believe race is irrelevant today, you're being extremely naive.

  4. oh thats what they want you to think...it's just their way of getting more free handouts.

    I don't hear many LATINO'S complain though

  5. Of course Whites and Asians have problems. We ALL HAVE PROBLEMS.

You can thank the same racism, that makes things harder for Black and Latinos, for the thought that other groups do not struggle.

White America is painted as the ideal. How can the ideal struggle? It is the thing to aspire towards.

  6. Yeah, there are white people that live in the projects and rich blacks/Latinos.  And white people can get S**t for their skin tone, like if they go to a mostly black school (not saying all mostly black schools are like that, but there are probably some that are).

  7. cause they dont have any more work ethic

govt keeps givin hand outs after hand outs

    it creates a dependancy

  8. No one said Whites can't go through that. However, you find mainly minorities living in poverty, you are looking at the exceptions of the rule...you need to face reality.

*And of course not all blacks and latinos live in the ghetto.

  9. Why do some people think only African Americans/Latinos have struggles?

Because the  political Left agenda in America is to convince whites and especially non whites of  non white victim hood in America and also to create as much collective white guilt as possible over it. It don't matter how much black people have or accomplish they will always be seen as victims and in many ways  like children who are incapable of doing for themselves by people mostly on the white Left who  most certainly see black people in this light
