  1. Poor grammar.

Just like when someone sez "Sam and me went to the store" or "Could you pick up Sam and I on the way to the park"

    WRONG!

  2. Finally!! Someone else wonders about this besides ME!!

It literally has been driving me crazy lately - or as all these people around me say, " It literally has been driving myself crazy lately."

Please, stop the insanity!!!  Do it for ME!!!

  3. Well to me I think it sounds more professional, like wow, they know some pretty big words.

I got into a talk like this in an email with my friend, it was a silly thing about the disaster movie, and cheese but this is how it went:

beyond fascinating. it shall capture la worlds attention and embrace it and feed it cheese

but all she was really saying is, wow, cool movie, lets give it some cheese.

See, the way she put it made it sound more complicated, and made her look kind of smarter.

Plus if you are writing an essay for school and it has to be a page long, you could always write bigger words that will make it a page WAY faster.

    I really hoped this helped.

If Im wrong, then I hope someone will correct me, because thats how I personally look at it.

  4. It's ME....MYSELF.....OR I, Pick one or the other . I myself would pick ME.

  5. I personally do it sometimes because the use of "me" doesn't sound quite right.  It's not grammatically incorrect but it sounds wrong to me so I use myself instead of me.  I believe it is mostly personal preference more than anything.

  6. umm...

    hun

    "Kim and me"

    is improper grammar.

    Its "Kim and I"

  7. People say 'myself' instead of 'me' for the same reason they say 'I' instead of 'me' --- they don't know any better.  'Myself' is a reflexive pronoun that is also used as an intensifier.  So:  I washed myself earlier.  Or, me, myself and I.

By the way, Kim and me can certainly be a grammatically correct construction, such as in the sentence "Let Kim and me do that work," or "Throw the balls to Kim and me."

  8. Because they don't understand the difference in usage between a reflexive pronoun (myself) and objective case pronoun.

Proper: I did the report myself - refers to "I"

The report was done by Kim and me.

  9. it sounds more formal

  10. 1. to emphasize

    2. to be sooo friendly and informal

but sometimes you MUST use me otherwise it's wrong like:

I brought/took the bag with ME ( not myself )

  11. I think all of the following are correct:

Kim and I went to the store.

The store called Kim and me.

On behalf of Kim and myself, thank you.

    Incorrect:

Kim and me went to the store.

The store called Kim and I.  (Think: "The store called I.")

On behalf of Kim and I, thank you.

  12. Wouldn't it be "Kim and I" anyway... because it sounds better than me?

  13. It's called proper english.

  14. sometimes you need to say "Kim and I", sometimes you need to say "Kim and me", but "Kim and myself" always works.

  15. When "you" are the subject of the sentence the word myself is used. Example

The pirate gave me some treasure.

    I gave myself some treasure.

The pirate can never give myself the treasure, but I would give myself the treasure.

  16. they just do

  17. Me. myself and I.

  18. its for people who want to sound posh...

  19. they try to sound cool but they sound stupid

  20. when i read ur question i thought to myself

they are not education but its probably because there trying to sound smart and it anit workin

  21. Because it is the proper way to talk sometimes...

  22. I guess it's because they have poor English.

  23. Because "Kim and me" is improper grammar, plus you sound dumb.  It's either "Kim and I" or "Kim and myself"
