They're people who perfer to look good, but act on the other side. Many are true wildlife conservationists and its a good thing to be one, but those who don't act the part are stupid and unmoral.

I am a hunter and each year I hunt ducks in the flooded timber of south arkansas.  What some do not see is our summer efforts to fix levees and provide habitat for more animals to breed in for the future.  I take it you have never been on a hunt or fishing trip.  Please look up Ducks Unlimited for more info.  I hope this helps clear up your confusion.

Becuase they like to reap the rewards of their hard work over the decades.  Many speicies would have been wiped out if hunter led conservation groups had not preserved their habitat.  

Until a few decades ago hunters were some of the only people that valued wildlife therfore had an interest in preserving it.  Like it or not they are the main source of conservation funding in the world.

It's time for a lot of people to learn the difference between conservation and preservation. Conservation means "wise use", not "leaving something alone". In some instances (endangered species), the two may be the same. In some instances, you may try to wipe out a species (smallpox). In other cases, you may try to reduce populations to sustainable levels (white-tailed deer). It varies with the species.

Hunters and fishermen have done more for the conservation effort than all the hand-wringers have. They (hunters and fishemen) have a vested interest in keeping the populations going.
