  1. If there are diving boards or sliding boards, a shirt could get stuck around your neck and choke you.  Also, shirts soak up water then drip on the pool deck, making it slippery and wasting the water.

No one is totally comfortable in their skin, but I think that after a few days in the sun, you will feel empowered with yourself.  There is no reason to be ashamed of who you are, just be you!  If you still don't feel better, get a more covering swim suit and bring a robe or cover up that you can put on as soon as you get out of the water.  No one can see your body when you are in the water anyway...

  2. i used to lifeguard, and people could wear shirts in the pool if they were all white. My headguard would tell us it was because the dye in the shirts could mess up the chemicals in the pool...i don't know how true this is..but that's what i know. and plus it is a hazard, swimming with clothing on makes it harder for a person to actually swim ( you see a lot of professional swimmers or people on swimteam wearing clothes in the pool as "drag" to build muscle), but if a person can't swim well in the first place, adding a shirt isn't going to make the situation better.

  3. The pool near me forbids all cotton clothing. They say the fibers can clog the filtering equipment.

  4. because the lifeguard wants to see more than that j/k idk ;)

  5. the reason is because the fibers in the cotton will plug up the filter

and who cares what you look like, just get in the pool and have fun!

  6. you can suffocate

she called you fat down there

  7. Cotton fibers in the t-shirts or cotton fibers in boxer shorts will plug up filter systems.
