  2. Because most of the time, it is brought up by some left-winger who has added some asinine "right" to what is considered, in classical liberalism, human rights.

And the rest of the time, it is brought up by some left-winger who declares someone's human rights have been violated, when it actually isn't the case at all.

As for sociopaths, the key to recognizing them is that they write "why" when they meant to write "what". :)

Oh, and it seems very Stalinist of you to want to label your opponents as being afflicted with a mental illness. That happened a lot in Soviet Russia under Stalin.

  3. Do we? I guess that's why I think we should do something about Darfur and why I think we should have gone into Myanmar with or without permission to help those who were being slowly murdered by their country. Or.....maybe you only believe in "human rights" for Muslim terrorists at gitmo. Yeah, that would be about right.

  4. it's such a vague, idiotic statement.  Are you a sphincter boy? or just pretending to be one?

  5. Because liberals want nanny government to take care of everyone. They hate those who are self-reliant. They hate America. Sad, little people.

  6. I don't I get annoyed when a liberal use a double standard, the questioning of al quada terrorists is a "violation of their human rights" the torture and murder of innocent people by these terrorists and all libs either stand quiet or justify the actions.

  7. Do they, and right wingers are sociopaths? A sweeping generalisation if ever there was one lol. I view myself as one who is "centre", not centre right, not centre left, just centre.

A look at the detrimental effect the "Human Rights Act" has had on this country would cause most right thinking individuals to "prickle and moan". When a a piece of legislation allows convicted foreign terrorists to remain in this country because to deport them would infringe their human rights, then I do get prickly. When said legislation gives more rights to the perpetrators of crime than it does to those who stand up against it, I become very prickly. When said legislation dictates that any excuse can be used as mitigating circumstances, that "blame" must not be attached to the individual, but to their history or environment, I develop prickly heat and moans disease.

What this act has done in my view, is to remove personal responsibility, whatever the individual has done is overlooked in favour of their "rights". There is a huge difference between being treated fairly and being absolved of blame and personal responsibility. Legislation, particularly in a so-called democracy, should be for the benefit of society as a whole, not to put the rights of the individual above those of society. That is what has happened and look where it has led us. As always, what was originally a fairly reasonable idea, has been allowed to become a monster, one that is intent on devouring us all.

  8. Why do left winger hem and haw at opposing opinions?

  9. because what's meant by 'human rights' is 'new rights'

  10. They scream, they rant, they talk about people taking all their money, they hate, they twitch, they foam at the mouth.  Sadly,  they can't even watch Jon Stewart or Stephen Colbert because it would give them fits as does Keith Olbermann.

I think a diagnosis would be mass schizophrenia.

  11. It is called self-centredness.

  12. No because Human rights laws and Human Rights are two very different things, the first one is abused to the point that no one really cares, even when the second one is infringed.
