Question:

Why do some types of girls flirt while others don't?

Okay, I will elaborate here...basically I've noticed that I seem to get more interaction with good looking girls (say, ones i rate an 8 out of 1-10) than less attractive ones (say, a "6"). By interaction I mean like prolonged eye contact, cute "i know you're checking me out" smiles, flirtiness, etc...

Also i think it's important to mention that this type of thing happens more around like campus (im in college) and other places that aren't designed for people to hook up, so its not like they're just hot, manipulative girls who are just trying to get me to buy them a drink or something.

As for me, I am a good looking guy but I still feel these girls are too attractive to be..so..clear with their signals lol. Am I missing something here? is it normal for me to think this doesn't make sense?

  1. girls who are more attractive are generally more confident than others, because they usually recognise that theyre hot and can use that to boost their confidence. girls who are around a "6" arent usually as secure about their looks as the 8 and 10 girls, and probably think theyre not good enough to score with a guy.

Or maybe they just dont know how to flirt, ive come across alot of instances where a friend was interested in a guy but she just didnt know how to flirt with him, therefore resulting in nothing happening.

it takes alot of guts for a girl to prolong eye contact with a guy, because unlike guys, girls actually cant look a guy they like in the eye because its embarassing while guys actually make more eye contact towards a girl they like. but you can tell just by someones glance whether they like you. if its a coy 'youre cute but i cant say it' glance, then youre in. if its a 'omg hes such a weirdo' glance, stop and head towards the nearest exit.

  2. Because they can. Seriously.

With the others it could be insecurity, it could be a feminist bent, but mostly it's b/c they don't know how to deal.

Some girls have been more conditioned to smile and "be cute", while others haven't been as encouraged.

It's a great lifelong sociological study for you.
