Why do some w.african surnames have origins other than africa....?

Question

I find it abit weird that my surname which is w.african comes from some asian countries,and some eastern european countries...I know that they might say it differently or have a different meaning but why isit that some last names that some asians and eastern europeans have are found to be african originated...aint it meant to be the other way around....

any related information will help aswell.

Language is a beautiful thing. Very Beautiful. This world is much more diverse than people think it is, and as you said some African words are the same as European, Asian, and even American (north and south) words. This could be due to migration or travel during ancient times.
