Why do some women allow themselves to be humiliated publicly by the ones close to them ?

Like for example the husband slaps her in front of everybody and she just takes it as if it is meant to be.

Maybe 'cause her parents slapped her on the bum.

My parents slapped me hard accross the head. It gave me a head rush. There is no way I am taking that from a man!

Allow ??.... There's no allow here. From what I've witnessed, american broads especially & usually need some form of discipline ; unfortunately even in public. They choose to behave childish however normally it's their yap that gets them into trouble. I've seen a few slapped however a healthy, stern, pointful reprimand is a more common practice. And to be accurate here, it isn't humiliation. It's merely convincing the woman to keep the issue in its proper perpective. And certainly by a slap or a verbal reprimand there can be no rebuttal ; by the expressions I've witnessed afterward, the woman may be surprised, albeit  more enlightened from being reminded of her place & gaining the genuine perspective.

All I can say is if you're not in the situation, it will be hard for you to understand.

Maybe she doesn't want to make a scene in public and cause more drama. Maybe she really does think that it's normal to be slapped.  Or maybe she's a m*******t and takes pleasure in being slapped.

No, I'm not conding physical abuse in public. I'm just putting myself in the woman's shoes and trying to give possible reasons.

You would have to understand the whole domestic violence situation, but I don't know if you have any training in that.

It reminds me of a time I was working in a fast food restaurant as a young teenager and observing this middle aged couple. This man repeatedly called his wife (I'm assuming) horrible names like, w***e, stupid, b*tch... It made me want to cry, how she would stay with this idiot, I don't know. He probably abused her emotionally and physically. She possibly thought she wasn't worth anything better than what her husband could offer her. It just makes me sad.

Its funny, because i've never seen this happen to a woman. I've seen women slap their boyfriends a number of times, right in public, nobody gives a ****.

I've also seen husbands/boyfriends get thrown out of places and arrested for even raising his voice and getting angry and assuming somewhat threatening body language.

I'm not saying this is a huge problem, but its just that in my experience the opposite happens. Really can you picture a man slapping a woman right in the face in the ticket line at the movie theatre and nobody doing anything? I cant.
