Why do some women find it difficult to accept competition and become bitchy at times?

Competition like in fashion, appearance, men, career. Men also compete with one another but seldom do I hear that in the race, they become antagonistic towards their competitors.

nowadays, most women want or accept competitions just like you said.. only a few are afraid to enter such competition because women will do anything and even everything to get what they want (especially with men)..

some women can't handle the competition with other women..

i think that's stereotyping on the part of women. i'm not bitchy and was never bitchy.

i'm not an exception since i know a lot of women who knows to let go and accept defeat..

but i also know of some who cannot, and yes they could be bitchy at times. if we were raised not to be mean, it would remain in us until such time we mature as adults. i think these women do not have enough breeding, education and are always insecure of themselves. why compete for fashion when you already believe that you are pretty and gorgeous right?

i'm not saying i am,i am short and chubby. i don't even belong to the society's standards of what is beautiful.

i think that's the main reason, no education and they weren't raised well as good citizens and add to that the influence of peers and media as well.

You're making assumptions based on what I assume is YOUR experience...I understand WHAT you are saying...but you assume men don't get BITCHY...OH THEY DO...Boys/Men can be the WORST of the offenders with petty jealousies and Superficial Competitions, I have recently been watching my daughters' Ex-Boyfriend do some pretty Bitchy things toward her NEW B/F, the jealousy and lack of competitive Spirit is Pronounced...I even listen to it amongst older guys,they can Say and Do some pretty NASTY things when Challenged of put to the test or they feel they are threatened in some obscure way...I suppose it is part of Survival Instinct...Women as well as Men portray these attitudes.
