Why do some women prefer feminine men? Such as in the emo scene?

My daughter has an 'emo' style, and her boyfriend wear tight pants, eyeliner, and has a fairly high voice. I don't have a problem with him, I just wonder sometimes...I could never find a feminine man attractive...

because she has a high self-esteem... Girls who go for stereotypically masculine types are looking for a person to be in control because they don't have confidence in themselves. Masculine/feminine is the personality pair that tends to be the unhappiest. androgynous/androgynous tends to be happier because their relationship isn't based on control but mutual affection. (Most men and women actually score as androgynous on a personality test) It is thought that women are more attracted to men with feminine personality qualities because it suggests a low incidence of infant mortality. Does anybody get what I'm saying? Sometimes I feel like I'm speaking in a foreign language. LoL

My father was an alcoholic when I was young, and he always had a temper. He slapped me and yelled a lot. He was also very masculine and muscular. Nowadays, I'm terrified of 'manly' men. I like feminine men, because they don't remind me of my dad or scare me in any way. I feel safer, plus I love the emo style and I think it's hot when boys wear eyeliner.

Also, they like kitties and know how to put together some lovely flower arrangements. =) Heehee

She probably likes him because he is similar to her as far as fashion and thoughts.Most of the time I think the scene kids go out with the guys as a part of the fad.Mabe she has a similar taste in things to him.

Me either. But if it's what she likes then..why not? I personally prefer the grungy, facial hair, deep voice, manly man.
