They probably figure that if their husband is home he should be pitching in. If she's home alone she can get stuff done but there's no reason for her to do everything if her husband is right there sitting on his duff. Plus, she may just want to spend time with him rather than spending time cleaning when they could be together.

I don't know... housekeeping is a way of showing you care about your husband and that you want to look after him. Maybe some women don't like their husbands seeing them when they're not dressed up, or they're worried about doing something wrong.

I guess because they both work, and if there is housekeeping to be done, then the husband should help.

My husband gets turned on sexually when I do housework in front of him.  The only time I refuse to do it in front of him is when I am not in the mood for s*x.  That my friend is hardly ever so I do a lot of housework in front of him.... I LOVE HOUSEWORK!!!!

I usually end up finishing tasks hours later because he'll see me doing something like the dishes and run in the kitchen, pick me up and take me to the bedroom.   ILOVE DOING THE DISHES!

Not sure really.  Nothing wrong with tidying up the house in front of hubby.  Often am cooking in front of hubby or washing dishes, sweeping/mopping floor, etc.

If it has to be done, it has to be done.

I don't know.  I  loved getting the kisses on my neck while I was doing the dishes.

Maybe it's pride,  fear of scrutiny, or they just want to spend time with their spouse instead .....eh...no clue.

@ hala L: Some of these women most likely have housekeepers or simply refuse to do the housework. Most people are selfish these days & that includes men & women.

Because I get that out of the way when he's at work so when he comes home we can spend the time loving and having fun.

They have a hang-up / inferiority complex. Just like a black person who is afriad to listen to rap music in front of a white person.

Because they dont like the fact that their husband will see them in a menial position after she fought to get him to place her on a pedastal. The blokes concerned would be pretty well off. If the bloke was ppoor shed get him to do the cleaning knowing she didnt have much to do to keep his interest.
