Why do sparks fly out of my AC switch?

whenever i on my AC , the sparks fly out. i seriously get scared. will i get electricuted by it?

yhou havr a loose connection..so the electricity is jumping across..or your switch is going bad

Yes, be scared.  You can get a shock from it, and if you are unlucky, you can be seriously hurt. You don't say what type of switch or plug it is, but it should be replaced as soon as possible by a qualified person.
