Why do sport bike guys think HD guys are jealous of their ****?

the other side of Mags' question here, why do you think we're jealous of your bike? yeah, it has better performance, and a ton of fun, and i respect sport bikes. but if the HD guys can afford an 'overpriced' HD, we could have bought any crotch rocket out there. if we wanted to we would have.

Magz, making generalized statements like that just makes you a bigot. You can't just say anyone that owns a Harley can't ride. Many of us came up riding and racing sports bikes and just reached a point where that kind of stuff didn't do it for us anymore. I still race competitively and would take you on the track any day of your life. I'm sorry...how many trophies are on your mantle? He who barks the loudest always has the smallest bite, and you bark louder than anyone here.

To the jackass below, I am not a "Harley guy", I'm just a motocross racer that decided to buy a Harley because it is one of the few bikes I have never owned. I also ride a Honda, Yamaha and a KTM. Look at any answer I have given here and I have never, ever bashed on anyone's ride. I love all motorcycles which is exactly why it angers me so much when folks like you and Magz just make ignorant, hateful statements. Anyone who is a real motorcycle enthusiast would never make comments like you guys do.

i buy and sell used bikes as well as autos through the car dealership i'm general sales manager at and the same thing at the one prior when i was used sales manager.

1 i have never had anyone request me to bring in anything other than a cruiser, and 95% of the requests are for harley.  never ever had a request for a crotch rocket, i only deal with disposing them as a trade in

2 when i take a bike as a trade in, it's 75%  crotch rocket traded onto a harley, 25% metric cruiser traded on a harley.  ONCE i took a ninja 250 on trade on a cbr honda 600.

3 no harley has ever been traded in on japp crapp in either store i've run

4 it has given me the opportunity to ride about every breed, make, model, style, cc, etc under the sun as a demo... so when i do have answers and opinions on bikes, it's from experience... not opinion

the group that posts sh*t about harley here are an anomaly, and definitely not the norm.  in other words they don't know from experience the dribble they try to pass off here, it's just pure, misguided opinion with no experience to back it up.

every real person i've sold anything japp to wished they could get the harley from my showroom floor, but had to settle for the japp crapp because it's all they could afford. i'm only on y! answers because i have to be at the computer all day, and i browse the net for all sorts of things motorcycle as a part of my job.  i ride a minimum of 2 hours a workday, and normally at least 4 hours a day on a weekend if i don't have a project on the go.  these other zits that have the time to bash a harley all day long, wouldn't have the time to ride their own d**n bikes let alone any other bikes to have any 1st hand knowledge of them.  it's 100% bullsh*t from these people.

so YES, sport bike riders ARE jealous of harley's i see it constantly.  and NO, i don't know ANYBODY jealous of a crotch rocket.

but at least it's entertainment to pass the day
