I go online to Abercrombie and Delia's and stuff and they name their clothing, such as "Sandra Tube Dress". Why is that?

  1. i have the same question like rachel tote bag its so annoying!

  2. cuz they think people with the name 'sandra' will buy it.

  3. Just to make it easier to identify, so like if the pants are called "Alexia jeans" it's easier than saying "the blue, wide leg jeans" cuz god knows that every store that sells jeans have all blue wide leg jeans.

    xx

  4. I don't think any of the employees actually know the difference, but it's probably so you they can differentiate between the clothes.

I think it's a little bit weird, though.

  5. i think it's to tell the dif, cuz they have so many t-shirts and they all look the same. but the employees have no clue cuz i went to Hollister and asked the lady for the "Harbor Beach Superflare Jeans" and she was like....."ummm...well, all our superflare jeans are over here" and im trying to tell her which ones im looking for, and she just looks at me like a r****d. soooo......i gess just for the difference and style purposes or something, but no one really cares at all, so i dont see the point. hope i helped!

  6. Why not? Its probably just to make it easier to organize them and keep track of the clothes that they sell and have in stock. All stores give their products "names", and a calling a shirt "sandra" is cuter than calling it "tube top"

  7. so then if you dont know where it is.. ask where it is but the name is a lot easier to find..

  8. So they can be identified by the makers

    as in

say you make a blue tank top

then next week someone else makes a blue tank top.

there different but not by that much.

    so they name them.

lol its odd they name clothes like Sandra

  9. Stores do not name their clothes, the people who design

the clothes name their clothes. Stores just announce

    what clothing line they carry.

  10. it's easier to identify a piece of clothing. i worked at a clothing store, and you have to call other stores to see if they have something when you're sold out, and it's waaay easier to just say "do you have the sandra dress in stock?" than "do you have that tube dress? it's style number 32493254675435"

  11. I've always wondered the same thing. Maybe it's so you can differentiate the styles and different clothing pieces.
