i just finished a heated debate about why strippers strip...... my opponents generalized that a majority of women who strip are not honorable, have issues, are lost souls, allow themselves to be degraded, and that stripping should never be the last choice for anyone..

i apparently chose to defend the "minority" i dont think every stripper strips for his stated reasons. it must have been my inner feminist coming out to fight... there was alot more un backed facts but i just wanted to get opinions :)

  1. Yes, of course, stripping should never be the last choice. Should be the first!

    Just kidding.

Stripping is just a job. Those strippers re at work. What is wrong with that?!

  2. My job as a nanny pays 5$ an hour.  My job that I am in school for will pay about 20$ an hour starting out.  My spouse's professional job pays about 25$ an hour.  Strippers can make upwards of a couple hundred an hour or more.

    Thats why people do it.

  3. it could do witha lack of morals, desperation for money w/no education, they might have sexual probs, or no shame. ALOT of women do it just as jobs. Believe it or not you cant make say $400 a night working at walmart. It easy money i feel bad for the suckers that go broke at strip clubs now there is a real problem.

  4. Because it pays well and pays their college tuition.  As far as degraded, seems to me the fools that pay to go see them are the degraded ones!  They're just taking advantage of a need, and are paid well for it.  And generally, most of them have boyfriends and/or bodyguards in the background.  I mean, it's like working for Hooters.  They make megabucks, and go on to bigger and better things.  And anybody that puts them down, well, sorry, they're just envious they don't have the qualifications. I was too shy, but I have girlfriends that made $300 a night as exotic dancers and/or strippers and it paid their way thru college.  Two are now lawyers, one is a DA, one is a doctor, and one is a vet.  Hardly unstable with issues! Issues?  Sure.  Why flip burgers for minimum wage when morons will pay megabucks for a cheap thrill???

  5. most strippers are beautiful and have and have a great body.I use to work and part own a strip club in kings cross. The strip clubs in the main drag of the X pay their dancers  $10/$15 for stripping to three songs one girl would put a cigarette in her v****a (classy ah) In the club I was involved in the dancers were all given a fair go regardless of size or looks one of the girls that wasn't the best looking was one of the top money makers. Our girls only stripped down to their g-string and wore a garter and danced for $1 notes of play money they also danced for three songs but made a minimum of  at least $30. Most of the girls had some sort of problem weather it be drugs self esteem loneliness whatever they all love to think they r beautiful and like to be told by the men in the club and have them buy them drinks some of the girls would go home or even start a relationship with one of the punters.

  6. people want to see strippers and when there's something that you can make money from then someone's gonna do it

  7. Every single one of us is going to have a different opinion. And if you asked a stripper, they might or might not be honest with you. Most people don't like admitting they're making a mistake or unhappy. But he's right, most do have issues. Alot of them have issues from their past, relating to men. All of them need the money, don't want to give it up because it pays so well, etc. I can't imagine that many of them have lots of marketable skills. And I agree that there are differences in the motivation of a male stripper vs. female. But in the end, they both enjoy the money. And most women can touch the men, but not men touching women. And that's usually because it's easier to control women then men. And I don't think the male strippers mind, but the female strippers do. Some women in classier joints claim they enjoy the work. Who really knows.

  8. hi my name is stefanie and i will be 21 in 3 days and i have been a stripper since i was 18. Many people are so close minded to strippers its honestly sad. most people think they are dumb s***s who need to fast cash to support there drug habbit...

Well i have gotten straight A's since 8th grade.. I got an academic exellence scholarship to the University of New york and have had the same boyfriend for 7 years (ive only had s*x with him). I am a great person inside and out and just becuz i strip does not mean i am a bad person (altough so many people think that.. including my mom). When people find out i am a stripper they immeditaly look at me different .. i can sense it.. but i dont understand how they can judge someone they dont know ..

Most girls become strippers becuz they did not have a great childhood life (unlike the majority of people who talk bad about stripppers).. my dad was in and out of jail my whole life... When i was younger, my single mom worked two jobs (hitch hiking, taking a bus or catching a ride) to support my sister and I... she tried to give us as much as she could. From 14 to 15 i worked as much as i could until they found out i was lying about my age ... From 16 -18 i worked full time at KFC and went to high school. I tried to have my own money so my mom wouldnt have to stress out about money but getting paid min wage just wasnt enough... So after i started dancing my mom never had worry about getting money to help me.. i can help her...

People dont understand you can dance and still have morals, i do not let people touch me or talk to me in a disrespectful way... its just a job. Most dancers strip becuz they have children and they want their children to have a better life than they did. Others do it to try and get ahead finacally . And yes most strippers do have issues... but who doesnt have issues?

  9. 4 teh lolz?

  10. Hi LOVE,

It's a job that pays very well. A lot of strippers put themselves through college, get homes, cars, pay the bills in general all in a days work.. It's  socially accepted/men in general. And male strippers/women in general & do it for the same reasons.  Have a good AM. :0)

Additional Details: I have a niece who had been a stripper since she got out of high school (8 years) was more like dancer/stripper in great shape pretty girl.    Now she's a Registered Nurse & pursing Neo-Natal care as a specialist.   No she didn't have issues, she did the 9-5  soon found out that stripping paid a lot more for her to pursue her new career. And no she said it wasn't degrading to her as the bouncers were always their for her protection (if things got outta hand) no one  in our family said anything  offensive it was her job after all.  Besides we all have some kinda issues.

  11. Every act has a motive behind it. No one will strip if they don't get a thing.

strippers or in need of something or other and sell what they have. Now this is simple...

  12. Absolutley nothing wrong with strippers.... some may have issues but at the end of the day it can be fun im told... some of my non S****y girl mates who hit up clubs try it out some times, get the guys going haha its all a laugh really

i did know a girl who worked as a prostitute tho and she had issues and told me the only reason she does it is koz its the only job that pays out big time.. pretty 'laid back' work if you ask me
