last year in the holy month of ramadhan my sunni friends asked me to join them for iftar in a restaurant ( which was not located in the best of places) they planned to go straight after college when neither of them had prayed salaat al thuhr and al asr. when i suggested that it would be better if we prayed at my home so that our prayer would not be qadhaa' they said that they will pray all the day's prayers at night as it was not haraam to delay your prayers if you had a reason...?????. i was extremely disappointed with them and decided not to join them. i am not trying to offend my brothers and sisters in islam, but their is a reason why each prayer has a certain name...because each one should be prayed at a certain time. otherwise they'd all be called salaat al layl! what is the 'logical' explanation behind this?
