Why do sunnis practice witchcraft at home?

Witchcraft is not accepted between sunnis.

When a sunni practices witchcraft, he is not practicing his religon.

witchcraft, voodoo and any sort of majic is Haraam and totally against Islam.........if you come up with statements against sunni's or whomever you need to substantiate

Sunnis do not practice witchcraft. Sihr and the likes are forbidden and from Major Kufr.

وَمَا كَفَرَ سُلَيْمَانُ وَلَـكِنَّ الشَّيْاطِينَ كَفَرُواْ يُعَلِّمُونَ النَّاسَ السِّحْرَ

((And Sulaymaan did not disbelieve but the devils disbelieved, they taught Mankind Magic…)) [Surah al Baqarah: from verse 102]

Until the end of the Ayah where Allaah says:

ْ وَلَقَدْ عَلِمُواْ لَمَنِ اشْتَرَاهُ مَا لَهُ فِي الآخِرَةِ مِنْ خَلاَق

((And indeed they knew that the buyers of it (magic) would have no (Khalaq) share in the Hereafter.))

And the statement of Allaah:

وَلاَ يُفْلِحُ السَّـحِرُ حَيْثُ أَتَى

((and the magician will never be successful, to whatever amount (of skill) he may attain'')) [Surah Ta-Ha: from verse 69]

And the Hadeeth of the Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم which has been reported by Shaykhaan:

اجتنبوا السبع الموبقات. قالوا: يا رسول الله وما هن؟ قال: الشرك بالله، والسحر،

وقتل النفس التي حرم الله قتلها إلا بالحق، وأكل الربا، وأكل مال اليتيم،

والتولي يوم الزحف، وقذف المحصنات الغافلات المؤمنات

((Avoid the 7 grave sins. They said: And what are they O Messenger of Allaah. He said: Associating partners with Allaah, Magic…)) until the end of the Hadeeth reported by Aboo Hurayrah. [Bukharee 2767, Muslim 89]

And Imaam an-Nawawee reported in his explanation of Saheeh Muslim that there is Ijmaa (consensus) that Sihr is a major sin from the major sins.

I don't know about sunnis, but witches and wiccan practice witchcraft at home because if they did any stuff like that outside of their homes they'd probably get bashed.
