  1. i think they CAN be more challenging and if you take the test and pass you get college credit. hey y not if its gonna save you some cash on classes right? i did and i loooved them and i am soooo happy that i took them. my friend didnt and she says she wishes she would have :o( also they look great on your transcript when applying for college.

  2. Most teachers don't care much about whether you get extra credits or not.  The thing that matters to them is that at most schools, AP courses are the most rigorous ones offered.  If you are bright enough to handle the work, they want you to push yourself to do as well as possible, and that means taking AP classes.

  3. Study for AP US or AP BIO on www.bubbabrain.com

    How to use bubbabrain

Select a grade level on the left hand menu, and click on it.

Select the subject, and click on the subject drop-down arrow.

Select a word set from the drop-down menu and click submit at the bottom of the page.

The top left box will say “find this” and a definition will be listed below. Click on the term that matches the definition. A new definition will appear, and you must find the new definition.

Continue until you have cleared the rest of the board.

show your friends, they will dig it

  4. Ap classes unlike duel credit, is more widely accepted at ANY college you wish to attend, where as duel credit classes are only good for local community universities and jr colleges

ps it just looks better on your transcripts

  5. Universities look at the classes that you take. I don't think that high school teachers care, but Universities care.

  6. The AP courses are written to a standard curriculum, so everyone taking the course in the country takes the same test on the same subject matter.

Very often, what one school calls an Honors course is a joke compared to what other schools call Honors; AP is a way of being sure that you are judged on the same scale.  Also, AP is really college level material.

  7. If you're capable of doing the work, it will help you get accepted into college (or into a better college). It will also challenge you more to push to your own best level.

  8. An AP course can challenge students so they will be more prepared for college.  Also, earning a passing score on the AP test can save time and money later on.  I was able to graduate a semester early from college, since I had earned enough AP credits.
