Why do telemarketers call me up and hit on me?

dam telemarketers call me up and start flirting, they wont get off the phone.

its sickening, what should i do?

Are you in the USA? If so, register your phone number with the National Do Not Call Registry.

pick up the phone and then set it down and walk away and let them talk to themselves they will eventually get the picture and hang up or you can try putting your number on the do not call list i saw from other YA answers that it does work im thinking about doing it myself casue we just got a new phone and they keep on calling like every hour.

get a caller ID and don't answer. They have to be upbeat and cheerful to keep people on the phone-some mistake that for flirting.
