Why do the 2008 A's suck this year?

They keep trading all their good players away...Like Dan Haren,Rich Harden,Joe Blanton...Their like the Pirates of the AL.

Number One reason, even larger than the loss of Haren and Harden..Injuries.  The A's have used the DL a record time.

Two more injuries tonite.  Its just getting ridiculous.  No team could win if they used the DL as many times the A's have this year.

Look at this team. They had a fire sale and have no good pitchers. Street has been bad and Chavez is out for the year and this team ain't good like it use to be.

the reason why most people dont understand why the a's trade all the players is they cant afford them. dan haren would have been gone next year but instead we traded him and got a future star center fielder carlos gonzalez, two learning on the job starting pitchers greg smith and dana eveland, and three prospects.

the joe blanton trade was good cause adrian cardenas is a pretty good 2nd baseman in the minors and mark ellis might not be resigned this year

the rich harden trade will be good eventually sean gallagher is still young and he is learning and rich harden will eventually get hurt again

so if those three players left the a's in one or two years via free agency wouldnt you want about 10 prospects rather than three mere draft picks
