  1. To escape the suffering they feel back at home

  2. I've never heard of this. people usually stay in the comfort of their own homes. i've never heard of people doing that

  3. only nut & rich cases do that but at the end wat is the use u have to make up 4 them.& it is diff 2 make up later on.

  4. The poorest ones go Ab'ha within KSA.

Even I don't like Wahhabi's but I witnessed Saudi's as the best Muslims during the sacred month of Ramadan. There are many Saudi's who are good throughout the year.

  5. maybe :D

but Ramadan has a special taste in Arab countries..u can't miss that :)

  6. I think you are generalizing cause you might have seen a few Saudi's when you yourself was in London Paris, N.York, etc etc.. otherwise how would you know? hearsay?....I am Saudi and from my experience and 30 some odd years here.. Everyone likes to stay home during Ramadan and not travel...(there might be a few who do, and they are the ones so extremely wealthy, they dont need to work).. but the average Saudi like myself.. we have jobs, schools etc. and we dont stop these activities just cause Ramadan is here.. its a month like any other month and if we have work, school etc we do this while fasting.. life carries on as normal... ^_^

  7. Nobody is watching, what they are doing in their house.Fasting is only between the person and God. nobody knows he fasting or not.

I think all schools closed so making trips to see places.

  8. There is a real hypocrisy , among rich emirs, princes and kings of these arab countries.

Did you know that most of them were regular clients of Monte-Carlo casinos, that most of them had several luxurious properties in the best places of Western Mediterranean ( Marbella,Saint-Tropez,Cannes,etc) and palaces in the most expensive quarters of Paris, that most of them were having privates parties with several escort girls ( so called "high-class" prostitutes) ?

    Alcool, gambling, fornication...

So these people were supposed to be models for us "ordinary" Muslims ?

A personal friend of mine was working in the security staff of a Saudian prince in Paris, and he told me that he saw outrageous things...

  9. Life in Saudi Arabia transforms during the holy month of Ramadan,

local business houses remain open till mid-night and during the day strict rules are followed and no-one on the streets or establishment or factories are allowed to smoke, drink water or eat.  None of the restaurants are open during the day.  They are all back in business at the time of breaking the fast.  Most of the Modern Saudis take vacation to avoid fasting and leave the country.  Many westerners too leave the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during this month as they too are unable to take the harsh rules during the holy month.

  10. Hey, going to Sri Lanka is always a good thing.

  11. not sure but maybe it's because it's easier to fast in western countries, because it's not so hot and the need for water is not so strong. i live in england and fasting is quite easy. whereas arab countries, which are quite dry and desert like are hot.

  12. I am an Arab, from Egypt

I am not aware about this be4

Who ever does this, never knows  what he/she are really missing

Fasting is blessing on both, spiritual and physical sides.

It brings a kind of joy, no one could experience exept through fastin in Ramadan

Can't wait more 4 Ramadan to start

  13. UHH.... No!!!!! thats not true i dont no any1 who travels during the month of ramadan they stay home

  14. If they going to escape from fasting....

they are the biggest fools in the universe..............

  15. They have to fast anyway so no

  16. i am saudi and i dont think this is right

yes, there are always people who travel during ramadan

but in general, people avoid travelling during ramadan as it makes fasting more exhausting

  17. As far as I have seen the rich ones enjoy the good life (girls, booze) and demand everybody else to live meagerly. I am serious, many people who work with Arabs say they are great drinkers.

PS. Thumbing me down won't change facts.

  18. Saudis traveling abroad in Ramadhaan? I've rarely seen that. Most Saudis spend Ramadhaan in Saudia, it's usually the summer where they go abroad because the heat in Saudia is very difficult do deal with to some people in the Summer. Usually the foreigners travel abroad in Ramadhaan to spend time with their families, but many like to stay in Saudia. The Atmosphere during Ramadhaan is very nice mashaAllaah.

  19. The stupidest and most dishonest answers are from people who say" I do not know of any one who does that" or "NO, it does not happen".

Do they not have even the common sense to see how many admit to it!

Even more stupid to give T down hoping to prove a fact as a lie or does yr religion  permit u lie to non MUslims?

  20. because we have money(even tho im broke)

im saudi and im not goin anywhere. ,maybe Dubai

Edit : to totally blunt maybe if ur country didnt open girls and dirnkin for the muslims we wouldnt have come to drink would we?

ironcally, she talks about arabs drinking. maybe she needs to look at her own country turkey. where drinking is next to mosques

and turkish girls cannot get sluttier than hoes.

its not only actions but they believe islam is what makes their country backward.i dont think u can judge muslims when u belong to a country like turkey who by the way happens to be change from islamic to secular for the west. and where the first existance of the zionists 1899 in her country

  21. People like to travel... Plain and simple... They probably want to take a break from the hot weather.. .

  22. Just because you vacation doesn't mean you can 'avoid fasting'.  During the actual physical travel part you can but not once you reach your destination.  Duh.  And really there are not 'strict eating rules' during Ramadan.  We simply don't eat from sunrise to sunset.  This is hardly strict nor starving ourselves as some ppl like to say we do.  Fasting for 8-12 hours is hardly 'strict'.

Personally I don't know anyone who doesn't want to be in a Muslim nation during Ramadan.

  23. LOL!! who knows!!

    it is harram!!

i never heard of it before!! probably Saudi has long traweeh!!

  24. Maybe, but experiencing Ramadan in the Arab countries are not to be missed when one is living there.

For example, I live in Saudi Arabia but I am from Malaysia. I will never even step my foot outside of Saudi when Ramadan is here. The chance of being able to pray Tarawih in Mecca, the chance to be in Medina during Ramadan.

I would not even go back to Malaysia in Ramadan for any reason because I love Ramadan in Saudi Arabia :)

  25. They still have to make up for it when they come back.

And its not all Arabs who do it.  That is prejudice.
