Why do CNN and Foxnews refer Barack Obama as African American when he is half white half black. Why don't they refer him as white rather then black? He is not ful black.

He is interracial, not black black.

Why is it all about race?

  1. Why do they have to talk about his race at all?

  2. Usually a person with some black "blood" in him is considered a person of color. The percentage varies on who is doing the defining, but it's not that high of a percentage.

It's pretty historic that someone with some African ancestry will get a major party's nomination for President. Consider that such people couldn't sit in the front of the bus in certain places less than 60 years ago. Sometimes it's good to step back and realize what's happened.

  3. Look who's talking - you claim race should be left out, and you're still irritated. By the way - I don't think that anybody would be more satisfied with the term "mulatto" either.

  4. They could talk about what his stance on Global Warming is.

Communities could create new stories if they were to develop Sustainable Urban Growth Practices.
