Is it different from American Mayo, or what? Because I've been watching a lot of video recipes, and they put it on 4 of the 6 food items they made!

  1. Thats like saying why do americans put ketchup on hotdogs it is only because it tastes good and they like it ok it probobly gives it really nice flavor.

  2. It really does taste different.  I hate American mayonnaise with a passion and dreaded trying Japanese food that had it . . . but it turned out to be fine.  Can't explain it more than that!

  3. they use what is usually called Kewpie mayonnaise. It has a different flavor, and is kinda used like ketchup here. So yeah, different type of condiment, different type of flavor.
