  1. 2 Pet 2:3 [NIV] In their greed these teachers will exploit you with stories they have made up. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping.

  2. Prior to 1914 (not 1918) the JW's and their predecessors, the Rutherfordians, had made numerous predictions of the end of the world. When each in turn failed to materialize, the cult lost many members but always recouped and enlisted new members.

After the failure of the 1914 prediction, they tried something new. Jesus had actually returned but invisibly (and WWI somehow verified this) and was going to show himself in due time.

The JWs adopted the motto, "Millions now living will never die." The meaning was that many people alive at the invisible Second Coming would live to see Jesus making himself manifest and moving into the end times and Judgment Day.

As time passed, the motto has been soft-pedaled if only for the simple reason that soon if not already, there will not be millions of people around who were alive in 1914. (Today they'd be at least 94 years old!)

Nowadays, the JWs are much more careful about predictions. It is embarrassing to don white robes, ascend to the nearest hilltop with ashes and condoms, and have to come down again.

  3. Yes, they are certainly false prophets.  The first resurrection occured when Jesus rose from the dead.

Now about Jesus coming again, he hasn't come yet obviously but they said he would.

  4. Never has the society said that the end would come on a certain date individuals have Jesus disciple are false prophets are they they thought Jesus was coming in kingdom glory in their life time but it didn't we are only human and we get excited when we think that we are going to be Free from this horrible world so some times people jump to conclusions the wrong ones some times

  5. Absolutely unequivocally complete religious nonsense on the part of the Jehovah Witnesses.
