Why do the Mets blow any good thing they have going form them?

I don't mean to disrespect anyone, honestly, but what happens? Like last year, then the 10 game streak and division lead. It's literally everytime something goes their way. Other teams are streaky but the mets are more streaky than any other team. Agreed?

  1. cocaine

  2. They are not most streaky teams if you are talking about losing streaks. They are probably one of the the most winning streaky team and killed by several losing streak here and there.

Almost every team in NL east are very streaky. That is why leader of NL east is very difficult to predict.  Keep faith in them. They have a good team and  will have chances to be in the playoffs. Hope the injuries does not hurt them too much though.

  3. 'Cause they're the Mets.

No animosity towards them, it just seems to be their lot in life, from my observations.

  4. Simply, its their hard luck history within.

They had a few bright spots during their 46 years but for most part been a hard luck team. Talk about cursed, geez.

Presently though, their middle relivers, closer, are struggling and costing the team wins. Not to mention their sleepy offense at times.

Santana has pitched nicely through out, with his ERA under 3, but they cant either score, or hold on so he/they can get the W. They should have with no doubt, reached out and tried getting a couple of arms, cause surely with who they have, they arent going or getting anywhere. Plus Manuels decisions at times, hasnt been too favorable. Can see it on his face, that he regretted certain decisions. "There is always next year", is becoming too habitual to say, and quite frutsrating being a Mets fan. Thank God for liking other teams this year, otherwise I couldnt handle all this disappointment lol.

  5. Because they are not the great Chicago Cubs

  6. Just like any other New York sports team currently.

(No disrespect to NY, I'm a die hard Yankee and Giant fan)

They can't perform in the clutch, with the exception of the New York Giants this past season.

  7. do you work for espn or something? you analyze if a team is going to make the playofs and change your mind after any win or loss. 3 games out isnt a huge hill to climb in 2 months

im pretty sure that they overcame 7.5 games in 1 month

  8. They are the Mets. Just the way it goes. It may be too late of some but I think we should spare the children. Think of the children!

  9. .......they've been breaking hearts for 47 years.

  10. I guess it's the Mets being the Mets.  I would rather see the Mets win NL East than the Phillies or Marlins though
