Why do the Obamas keep their children up late on a school night?

Do they have a private tutor or is Michelle home schooling them?

Some schools don't start until after Labor Day. If school has started, perhaps they'll give an oral report for social studies about the Democratic National Convention. I'd pull my kids out of school to go, even if I was a lowly delegate, much less if one of their parents was the nominee. ;-)

Jack Bauer, they stay with their grandma Robinson if Michelle is out of town, or maybe grandma comes to stay with them. Michelle tried to be out of town only 1-2 days a week for most of the campaign and of course they could be on the road more in the summer.

For the first two months of the school year, up to the election, I think they will stay with grandma when Mom HAS to be on the road, then they will get ready to move to Washington, DC. They go to the University of Chicago laboratory school, staffed by grad students in education at the University of Chicago and on the same train as their mom took to work at University of Chicago.

It is probably not a school night for them.

I know they are not homeschooled, but where they do attend might not have started the new year yet-my niece has been visiting us down south.  School started here last week.  She goes home to Maine tomorrow, and school does not start there until next week.  The calendar year varies from district to district.

I homeschool my children, and our new year begins September 2.

I bet the have tutors at this point. The kids did talk about not wanting leave their school/friends when Obama becomes president so i guess the once went to a pvt school somewhere. But now being on the road so much a pvt tutor would be best.
