This question is specific to the United Kingdom.

So, why? 82% are in favour of the monarchy, so why do you think that your ideals are more important than the wishes of the Great British and Pretty Awesome Northern Irish people?

In my experience, republicans in Britain are the kind of people rich and well-educated enough to become Head of State if the Monarchy were dissoluted. These people are in it out of greed, and have lost all sense of honour and self-respect.

So, why?

  2. Because they are zealots.  It doesn't matter whether they are pushing the bible or their political views......they are always right and have no tolerance for others.

    best of luck to you!

  3. Every "ist" assumes the moral highground.
