Why do the clouds move by slowly sometimes and sometimes really fast?

I was just outside, looking at the sky and I've never noticed it moving by that fast its always been pretty slow

  1. Wind current depend on altitude

    clouds are at different elevation

    and get push by that air current where both are  the same plane (same elevation)

    you are right close object  do tend to  make velocity/ acceleration son greater


  2. Clouds are pushed by wind. The windier it is, the faster they go. Also, lower clouds will appear to move faster.

  3. IT DEPENDS UPON THE PRESSURE AS WELL AS THE FORCE EXERTED BY THE CLOUDS.

  4. I think it is due to the movement of the wind.
