  1. I guess they want to see how many other things you aren't paying like you should. That probably helps them when they go to get  a judgement against you.

  4. You arent responsible enough to pay your bills, so there taking the responsibility to find out where there money is and if they can expect to see the money YOU OWE THEM! Get a job and quit flying under the radar.

  5. It's generally the first step in their investigation and skip tracing.  They are looking for you phone number and current address.

    They also want to see clues about where you are employed, where you bank, and any other public info.  

    For example, if you have a judgment filed against you, they can pull a copy and get even more clues about you.  Judgments are public records, and everything that happened is there for everyone to see.  If it shows a garnishment, the debt collector now knows where to go once they win in court.
