  1. the blood panels will tell everything about your body, any type of illness, disease ect..

  2. It would not be checking for STD's, unless they specifically checked for HIV (which I doubt).

Usually like stated before, CBC, chemistry (for organ function), and electrolytes etc

  3. Blood tells everything about whats going on. Like if your getting proper vitamins, etc. And yes they would contact you if you have a disease or something is wrong.

  4. The blood panel is probably a CBC, or complete blood count.  It will not detect STDs.  It will reveal your kidney and liver function, along with your red and white blood cell count...maybe cholesterol, as well.  If you want an STD panel run, you have to ask for it specifically.  If you want to be tested for Herpes, you have to ask for that in addition to the STD panel.  Take care...

  5. Usually to check to see if you have any illness they can't see by the outside. For example, if you are prescribed to something they want to make sure that your liver, kidney's and all the nice stuff inside is working and doing its job fine.
