i have a stray kitten that i adopted and the inside of hear ears, like where the wax is, is black. i have ear cleaner for dogs and cats and i've cleaned her ears several times the last few days. i clean them out with q tips and the solution and get 4 q tips with all this black wax. i have to do it like every other day, it's really gross. what is causing that??? is she sick or something??? i was thinking it might be ear mites but it could be something else i don't know... could it be something to worry about???

  1. I agree; ear mites.  If she's scratching at her ears, or shaking her head, it definately is.

Take her to the vet and they'll give you a solution.  Not fun for the cat, but it will get rid of it.

Petsmart has some stuff too, but I'd do the vet thing to confirm before treating.  Good luck.

  2. It is ear mites, a quick trip to the vet and ear drops can clear them up.

  3. its ear wax try to clean it as good as you can
