  1. you are over watering your plant.stick your finger in the soil about 1/2 inch if the soil is moist then do not water if the soil is dry water the plant.

  2. too much water, i keep mine in the kitchen window and i only water them about every 10 days and very little then, they are like cactus and they dont like to be wet! also look under the leaves in the cracks of the leaves also, if you see anything that looks like little tiny cotton balls, take a q tip and dip it in alcohol and apply it to the little buggers, and rinse off the leaves, you have to watch out for those litle bugs on  jades, that is one of there favorite plants to attack.

  3. Get it out in the sunshine and let it dry out

  4. Overwatering is the biggest cause of leaf drop on a Jade plant.

  5. to hot

  6. You are not watering enough. But only like once a week. Mine do that if I forget to water them.

  7. Agree with everyone else. Too much water.

I have a history of killing Jade plants with too much water. 'Water is Love'. Last year in my plant propagation class, I took some cuttings from a very old, giant jade plant. I got them started, and when they were rooted enough to bring home, my son and husband were making bets on how long it would take to kill a plant that 'can't be killed', quoth my son. Well, here it is a year later and the three cuttings are growing like crazy. I repotted them this past spring because the small pot that they were originally rooted in had no soil left. It was all tangled roots. I bought some cactus potting soil, a new larger pot and a couple of stones to cover the drainage holes.

I gently took the plants out and rinsed all the soil off of the roots so that I could get them apart without destroying the roots. I put them in the new pot with the cactus soil, and since then they have grown at least 5 more inches and are healthy. I water them once every 2-3 weeks. If any water is in the saucer a half an hour after I water it, I pour it out.

Usually, the leaves will get a little yellow and soft if they are getting too much water.

  8. Too much water.  Jade plants don't need lots of watering.  I water mine once every few weeks. It's been around for about 5 years and seems quite happy.
