Why do the new digital TV stations on my hdtv mess up when watching them?

I have a new hdtv hooked up to one of those big outside antennas and most of the times I receive the new digital stations crystal clear but every now and then little squares pop up and the audio goes out. It will start to come back in normally but will go in and out again. Its almost like it scrambles I guess. Not all stations do this and I have a good signal so what causes this? I sure hope this doesn't happen when they switch to all time digital because its very frustrating when your trying to watch a show and it just decides to go all retarded on ya....

  1. It is a loss of signal from the TV transmitter. It can be caused by a number of things such as your antenna not quite pointing in the right direction. A fluctuation in power from the transmitter, obstruction between the antenna and transmitter and even the weather.
