  1. You are tarring all the police with the same brush!!

I accept that SOME...a very few.....people raped...but now those 2 have been jailed. Clint Rickards is the only loose end and he is gone now ...FINALLY!!.

I don;t accept that the New Zealand Police are corrupt and are not worthy of the negative press.  These events happened many years ago now and I believe they would not get away with it now.....you are always going to have rotton apples in a barrel.

Be thankful of the police we have! I am.

  2. How do you know that?  I mean, we see what is said about the cases on the news, but what do we really know?  If you met my mother-in-law two years ago without meeting me, you would know for sure I was a violent control freak who did illegal things.  News reports are generally one sided (even though they are not meant to be) and we only hear what someone wants us to hear.

Before you challenge what I have just said, let me ask you, why do the police NOT get away with rape in new zealand?  That's also a true statement as many lose their jobs.

  3. Because the people won't get together and force a change.  Vote out the politicians who are allowing it to continue.  Why don't you run for office and let it be your platform?

I live in the US, but isn't NZ also a democracy?  Make a change.  It starts with one person.

  4. more like why do they fight for jobs and then just resign...

    attention maybe?

  5. Damm that aint cool.

I thought new zealand is a nice and safe country?

Damm well someitmes there are few crimes but there is no countries with absolutely no crime so.... well...

  6. Why do they get away with it anywhere.?

  7. Do they ? That's not cool at all. Unfortunately we're not privy to the news there, too bad you couldn't post a link.

The Australian police can be a bit iffy sometimes too. When I was 17 I was living in a unit by myself. I had some pretty serious trouble with a violent male neighbour. The police showed up, that was ok, then a couple of detectives dropped in. That was ok too.

But later that night the detectives came back (2 of them) with some booze. I said I didn't drink and they told me that they had vodka and orange and you couldn't taste the alcohol. Well I was silly, I didn't realise they were there to try to get into my underwear, I thought they were just being friendly (DUH!).

Anyway, I didn't drink the booze thank goodeness, the smell was enough to turn me off it. And I asked them to leave after one of them started trying to paw me, they did.

Lucky that I didn't drink, or I would have had no chance against them. It was very nearly a rape, and I was  nervy living there after that, I was sort of expecting them to come back.

Sorry for that longwinded answer, but it was therapeutic!
