  1. nothing to see there ,except of the dead people. the curious bypassers would take away souvenirs, such as aircraft parts, and occasionally they would even loot the wreckage. thats why.

more than that the people not involved in the wreckage and survivors recovery would spoil the effort of recovery teams.

simply said everyone who wants to be at the crashsite, is just a hyanea trying to steal something or make pictures to sell them into the TVs who will pay considerable ammounts to get access to pictures.

  2. The police try to keep people away from any site of an accident. Firstly, you have nothing to do there if it isn't a morbid curiosity. Secondly, any fuel powered vehicule can catch fire and explode.

  3. I can see this must be a pressing issue for you, lass.  So I will attempt to respond with the required amount of sincerity you deserve.

    Just because.

Seriously now.  For a number of reasons.  Among them is this is an accident site and they must wait for investigators to appear.  Plus there are dead bodies all around, they must be disposed of properly. Also there is a fair amount of theft that can go on at these events.  What if your spouse died in that crash and his wedding ring was stolen?

  4. They don't think, they know people will contaminate the site and destroy physical evidence needed for investigation.

  5. #1, safty. If they let any one in they could get hurt. #2, The scene needs to be kept in order so it can be investigated to find the cause of the crash. #3, people have a habit of picking stuff up and that could be a safty or investigative hazard. #4, if there are any injured they want only trained people taking  care of them.

  6. That and so nobody gets hurt, jet fuel is quite flamable!

  7. 1.  To prevent tampering.  Accurate assessment of the cause of the accident requires that not a shred of evidence be moved until professional investigators have cleared the scene.

    2.  To prevent looting.  Casual visitors may remove valuables belonging to accident victims or the aircraft owner.

    3.  To preserve reverence for the remains of accident victims.  In many cases, state or provincial laws prohibit unauthorized viewing or human remains.

    4.  To protect public safety.  An accident site is a very hazardous location, and untrained visitors may be in danger from toxic waste, fuel and explosives, pathogens, electrical hazards, or falling objects without knowing it.

    5.  Common decency.  A major accident is a private matter for the victims and the aircraft owner, and idle/morbid curiosity is uncivilized.

  8. Aviophage has it, and I would like to add to her comment on looting.

You obviously belive in the best in people, however that is not always what happens. It is unfortunately a common occurance, especially in third-world countries, where people will loot many components of the aircraft, and I have heard reports of entire landing gear assemblies as well, and then try to resell them to an airlines. These "incident related" parts become a hazard to flying safety if they re-enter the aviation parts supply base wihout going through proper inspections to determine if they are even repairable and then through approved maintenance organizations to be overhauled.

  9. So nobody could tamper with the site in any way.

  10. HI BABE.

A CRASH SITE HAS TO BE INVESTIGATED.. EVERY LITTLE TEENY TINY PIECE OF WRECKAGE HAS TO BE EXAMINED,

SO THAT THE INVESTIGATORS AN FIND OUT WHAT CAUSED THE CRASH,

WAS IT A BOMB OR WAS IT HUMAN ERROR,

OR WAS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE PLANE IT'S SELF??

AND IF LOOKIE  LEWES STOMPED AROUND THE CRASH.. VITAL EVIDENCE COULD BE LOST.. OR DAMAGED FOR EVER..

IT IS THE SAME WITH A CRIME SCENE..

IF YOU HAVE WATCHED 'CROSSING JORDON' THEY HAD AN AIRLINER CRASH... AN THEY SHOWED HOW THEY DID THE SEARCH..

    HOPE THIS HELPED YOU BABE.

    MOM

  11. They don't want people tampering with evidence, and it's quite possible there is still fuel or other hazardous material lying around that could be dangerous.

  12. Folks love train wrecks..  and plane crashes...

  13. It is for safety reasons.  If the aircraft still had fuel in it the plane could blow up and there would be one more casualty to add to the list.

  14. Seriously, what they think people are going to do is rob the dead of valuables.  --Because that is what people want to do.
