I worked for G.M. for 20 years. we had viable electric cars since the 80s. An example was a car with a small gas engine to get u going and then a computer would switch to an electric motor which was powered by a generator on the axel. A trip from L.A. to N.Y. would cost 2.00 in gas at 1980 prices. Solar panels on houses can be mass produced cheap. All you have to do is convert your appliances to low voltage, how do you think the space station operates.

  1. They think all of us are as stupid as the partisans...

  2. They're all liars, they don't want to spend the extra money it may take to make the switch and are blackballing the issue.

  3.   All those things are old news . This is the new era that im looking forward to . http://nanodetonator.com

  4. with claims like that - there is no way i believe you actually worked for GM, or if you did you worked in the mail room.

  5. News flash the solar industry works best at line voltages easily obtained by inverters, afer that I agree 100%

But look at the money flowing into politics from oil& gas, and other energy companies, they do not spend to allow their market share to dwindle the spend to keep their share and make more money. that is why our nation is failing and we are in trouble. A nation driven by profits and controlled by parties all who want profits and power.

However [political parties] may now and then answer popular ends, they are likely in the course of time and things, to become potent engines, by which cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the power of the people and to usurp for themselves the reins of government, destroying afterwards the very engines which have lifted them to unjust dominion.

  6. because they have a hidden agenda that does not include the welfare of the American people

  7. New energy is already here.  UPS has a sign on there delivery trucks that says "We use natural gas."  That has been in use for more than 10 years.

It's up to all of us here to demand a change in fuel and to motivate the auto industry in welcoming this change.

  8. There are so many misconceptions in this that it is not funny.

Solar panels on the space station are in space. Much more efficient than on Earth and have you see the size of those suckers? Not to mention the expense. Home owners couldn't afford it.

Your car example violates the laws of physics. What you have described is a perpetual motion machine.
