It seems that everything that they do is geared to hurt the little man, They celebrate the terrible increase in the cost of fuel, which we need to get to work. The celebrate the cost increases in lumber when we are not allowed to use what we have growing here, but must import lumber from Canada and abroad to build our homes. They seem to love it when the cost of electricity, food, and the basic necessities that we need rise in price, why else would they be so set against drilling and using our own oil, coal, and fuel sources we now have?

Then they offer ‘alternative’ fuels that either don’t work or cost $40,000 $50,000 or more, saying its our duty to do our part to help the environment.

Do these people work? How do they earn a living that they can afford to see the rest of us suffer, Why do they hate the working people so much?

  1. b/c the poor cant supply them w/ money!!ytf did u have to ask? they make every1s lives miserable!! [excluding the cuorpt scientests and political systems and most importantly THEMSELVES] o they dont have to work the big corporations supply them w/ money and get tax write offs.

  2. Did you see the news the other day, where the Democratic Senator for California said that they(meaning the senate) wanted to keep the price of oil up so that we would be forced to look to developing alternative energy.

    But not to worry, as soon as they raise the taxes enough to either run the business owner out of business, so that there are no more jobs, they will give you a welfare check, so that they can feel good about themselves, for taking care of the poor slobs that cannot take care of themselves.

  3. you cant call USA bashing work and really I think they suffer from a mental illness called far left liberalism. They are so vain they will voluntarily give up their country and not even care when it gone. Be careful what you listen to because most of the media is tainted with democrap.

  4. Because it's easier to clean the s*** off you when you're on a pedestal and not sitting in the middle of the river.

  5. I agree with Chopsaw    But sir I do not think a president (any president ) can or will do anything but s***w the workers like me and you -----  obama surely is not the answer

  6. Look at the habits of their leader.  What can you expect?

  7. Let's not be selective here:  MOST people look down on the poor and "down-trodden"...it's not called a social LADDER for nothing.

    Hard working people can be found peppered throughout the human population, in every socio/economic class devised.  This label doesn't really apply.

    Radical environmentalists actually LOVE the poor and down-trodden:  They want everyone to give up their possessions and live like the poorest of our lands!

  8. We got stupid and gave them an education in a country that believes in freedom............so be careful who you listen too. Do your own thing as best as possible and hope some day we get a real president..........not just daddy's puppet.  bye

  9. Most are elitists that only pretend to care for the poor as long as they stay in their own neighborhoods.  Most leftist policies hurt those that they pretend to help.

  10. OK I will say it because the answer given by RKO is the problem we face. It is called denial or reality or Limits to Growth. We as humans are facing the same limits on resources that were faced in general by all of Europe in 1492 before Christopher Columbus set sail for the New World. Today we stand on that same edge waiting for a new era of exploration accompanied by a flood of fresh resources to come flowing in. It is this denial of the wealth of plenty so close above our heads that leaves me flabbergasted and aghast at the lack of vision and courage in liberals and other believers in the fallacies presented by limits to growth.

    For those interested in truth I can supply many more that describe in detail the future that those who are deniers of plenty and proponents of limits are steeling from you, your children and your grandchildren. Look up and see the future and hope of plenty for all, Look down and see limits, poverty and death for dreams.

  11. Obviously, this is a 'loaded' question, contrived to elicit responses that pit conservatives against liberals.

    I doubt environmentalists (i.e, 'tree huggers') 'celebrate' the increase in the cost of fuel, or any other cost increases.

    I'd be inclined to believe that most 'environmentalists' are prone to encourage conservation, protection, preservation and social responsibility.

    We cannot continue to squander Earth's natural resources "just because we can", just because we're rich and can afford to do so, or just because we think there's an inexhaustible supply of oil, natural gas, clean water, fresh air, minerals and coal.

    Poor people and rich people have one thing in common: WASTE. Most of us refuse to REuse, REduce, or REcycle.

    Too many of us waste energy by:

    * Using a new Styrofoam cup every time we get a 'giant Slurpee' at the convenience store;

    * Not properly (and inexpensively) insulating the cracks in our homes to keep heat from escaping;

    * Tossing all of our trash into a roll-away where it's picked up and taken to a landfill for burial;

    * Throwing away uneaten food;

    * Not consolidating our driving trips to conserve gasoline;

    * Not bothering to compost;

    * Spraying our lawns with chemicals just so our grass looks greener than our neighbor's;

    * Using plastic or paper shopping bags instead of a re-usable canvas bag;

    * Not walking, bicycling or carpooling instead of driving;

    * Not bothering to turn our thermostats down in winter or turning off the air conditioning in summer just because we want to be 'comfortable';

    * Not conscientiously searching for recycled products;

    * Carelessly disposing of plastic water bottles, soda cans, milk cartons, plastic wrap, packaging, plastic six-pack carriers, glass jars and other everyday things we use without regard to how they decimate the environment;

    * Not taking shorter showers or not letting the water run while we're shaving.

    Millions of us still think we should be allowed to tool around in gas-guzzling SUVs and Hummers just because we can afford the fuel for them.

    Millions more toss everything from flashlight batteries to disposable diapers in the trash without ever giving it a second thought.

    This isn't a 'rich vs. poor' or 'liberal vs. conservative' issue. This is an issue about protecting our environment, preserving the beauty and bounty of our land, conserving energy, and respecting the plenty that this good Earth provides.

    Regardless of your economic status, you can do your part to keep this planet alive and productive for generations to come (which, by the way, will be YOUR grandchildren and great-grandchildren). It's not a matter of who "hates" the poor, the hardworking, the downtrodden or even the rich.

    It's a matter of sustaining our species (and all other plant and animal species on Earth, on which we are all dependent) instead of squandering Earth's abundance for the sake of our own profit, comfort or convenience. -RKO-

  12. Because socialists (environmentalism is just a variation on the fascist/marxist/socialist continuum) seek power and scarcity creates power.  By taking control of the necessities of life, the elites gain power over the lives of individuals in a big way.  In the n**i Germany, critics of the regime found themselves unemployed while in the USSR they were denied housing.  In the enviro's dream world, dissidents will starve and freeze in the dark.

  13. You have convoluted logic.  I think what environmentalists are celebrating is the fact that if gasoline is more expensive fewer people will be driving and fewer people will expend it frivolously.  True, there is a group of rich environmentalists who in fact are total hypocrites.  They have solar homes, but then they have two or three of them, and of course the world cannot sustain itself that way.

    This is a very difficult thing, the allocation of resources, with no easy answers.  The problem is our politicians who should be taking the lead on this issue are sitting back and counting the money they get from the oil lobbyists.  The one thing I will say that is good about the lumber industry (because about the oil industry I can say none) is they need huge areas of land to sustain their business.  I would rather see these forests mown down and replanted (although they do not always use the best methods) than have same said land turned into hideous, cheaply built unsustainable tract housing, McMansions and the like.

  14. You've got it all wrong.  Substitute "corporatist" for "radical environmentalist" and you'll have a better question...

    Why do the corporate elite hate the poor, the hardworking and the down trodden so much?  It seems that everything that they do is geared to hurt the little man, They celebrate the terrible increase in the cost of fuel, which we need to get to work. The celebrate the cost increases in lumber when we are not allowed to use what we have growing here, but must import lumber from Canada and abroad to build our homes. They seem to love it when the cost of electricity, food, and the basic necessities that we need rise in price....

    The environmentalists don't oppose ALL energy development - just those sources that in the long-term are worse than the short-term solutions.

    Look, dude.  Take care of the long-term, and the short-term will take care of itself....  The problem is that, well, for me, is that business the way it's practiced today, is far too short-term and fails to look at the long-term consequences - and we keep digging ourselves in to deeper and deeper holes due to short-term profits and motivations.

    We have serious, serious problems because the dominant form of our social and economic systems are based on Capitalism - and THAT is the problem, has caused the present problems and has the power to continue its dominance - another problem!!

  15. This is really, really funny!!

    And sadly ironic at the same time...

    Who, exactly, are "the poor, the hardworking and the down trodden"? It's the 4 billion or so people around the world living in conditions that you cannot even imagine.

    Here you are, whining and complaining about how you may have to pay a bit more if you want to drive around the block to pick up some milk when the real victims of AGW in the developing world are being forced off their land, losing their livelihoods, having to do back-breaking work 16 hour days seven days a week from the age of 8 and up simply to put a bowl of rice on the table...

    You are not poor, hardworking or downtrodden!

    The simple fact that you have access to a computer and the internet, that you actually buy gas or have a house shows that you are one of the elite, the rich, the privileged...

    And, by denying AGW and/or resisting any attempt to alleviate the effects, you are directly causing suffering and hardship to "the poor, the hardworking and the down trodden" of the Pacific Islands, of Bangladesh, of Africa, etc, etc.

    It is the poor, especially in the developing world, that are already feeling the brunt of your selfish unwillingness to do anything to help them.

    If you did any research at all, you would note that AGW proponents are doing their absolute best to help the poor, the hardworking and the down trodden while you, the oil industry, the Bush government and other corporate capitalists do your best to hurt, starve and kill them.

    Get off your high horse and start walking the walk!

  16. There does seem to be a lack of common sense on some parts.

    To expect the average man or women to be able to buy some over priced car to save a dollar or two on gas is insane.

    What we need is real solutions that are not part of a government solution, we all should know by now how well they work.

  17. Because they know that the little people won't DO anything about it.  Period. When the trucks stop, when the food doesnt get to the cities.. Then you will see real change. Peroid. life is good for them, make life hard and you will see change.

  18. Actually, these folks are equal opportunity 'haters', they do not like people, period...review some quotations from the Sierra Club founder John Muir, "people are a blight....", basically, people are a problem for the earth, and they all need to die...so, they do not dislike the downtrodden only, they dislike everyone...good question, fun to answer

  19. The Democrats will do nothing to help solve the problem . They are blocking everything that might help. They want to appear for the working people. I don't care if drilling will not help now , but the oil co. would be trying. Let them find a good well and it will be on the market very quickly.Just the threat would bring it down some..

  20. Most environmentalist work. They just are willing to give up a bit of convenience now to be able to have a good life later.
