Its small and light but it fires the 9mm round so what happens if one of the terriosts in the room is wearing kevlar? even a double tap might not drop the dood... I think in this day and age the seals need the mp7

  1. The weapons in the military are chosen by people who run the military, not seals themselves. A whole lot of people despise the Beretta and its puny bullet, but the government awarded a contract to that company so that's what is the sidearm now.

  2. Think of it this way. Navy Seals shoot and drill with hundreds of thousands of rounds. Far more training than a whole company of marines. They choose their own weapons for each operations so i have pretty good confidence they know what they are doing. a recommendation is 2 in the head and 1 in the chest. When they go in against a threat... they will unload everything into the head and heart.

and the navy seals do not use standard military equipment... they use what they want to use, or they improvise.

edit; before they do any operation they take in as much intel as possible. when kevlar is a possibility they will consider their options. they can use something a lot more powerful or maybe some of them just prefer shooting at nothing but their target's face with the mp5. they drill enough to not miss.

  3. MP5's are light and efficient, plus you can put suppressors on them, which makes them very versatile.

  4. They have different weapons for different scenarios.

How many ragheads have you ever seen with bullet proof vests anyway?
