Why do the telephone numbers of vancouver taxi companies end in 1111?

many car service/taxi companies use repetitive numbers, it makes it easier to remember the number... if you had to remember a number between multiple taxi companies, the simpler number would pop in your head faster..

in NY we have a car service that uses the number 777-7777 how easy is that... and the name of the company is "dial 7".

I would guess that it's so you remember them better, but then again, the last time I checked I don't know nuthin.

its for convenionce because its easer to remember a string of 4 ones than 4 random numbers
