  1. Because they have the least number of people who attend on Tuesdays.  By lowering the price, they hope to bring more people into the theater.


  2. I agree with Mouse. Tuesdays are the slowest days, so it only makes sense financially to do something that will bring in more patrons. The companys are willing to cut costs in order to bring in more business on slower days. Also, if people think they are going to get a good deal on the tickets, they are more probable to buy candy, popcorn, pop, and other concessions. So if they do that the companys really aren't losing money after all.
