  5. The top has more air in it. Because the bottom part is confined to the cup, it's denser. The top is able to expand freely, so it's softer.

  6. That's where the majority of the toppings are located and has the baked crunchy exterior that everyone loves. Like the good tasting crust on the pop tart.
