  1. Oh, it's because Richard is overshadowed by the accomplishments of Darryl "Chocolate Thunder" Dawkins, who played alongside Julius "Dr. J" Erving. Yeah, that's it.

Excuse me now while I concentrate on the important stuff, Britney's Bikini Bod Secrets!

  2. Those who love Dawkins love him because he is one of the only people with enough balls to confront those who willingly brainwash people for power and/or money.

Yes, he can be a d1ck sometimes, but he keeps it real and tries to educate those who are happy going through life with blinders on while missing out on the rest of the world around them.  He encourages education, science, and free-thinking, which are all great things in my opinion.

Those who hate him do so because it would seem that his main goal in life is to get everyone to question their faith.  To some this is good, but to others who have a strong faith already, this is destructive.

If you're the head pastor of a church, the LAST thing you want is some idiot coming around trying to tell people how Adam & Eve is just a fairy tale and we were all once monkeys swinging in trees.

    God bless Richard Dawkins!!

    lol

  3. Richard Dawkins is a jesus for the intellegent, and a truth teller for and to the ignorant.

  4. I am a devout agnostic. I always say that there's nothing an agnostic can't do if he doesn't know if he doesn't believe in anything or not.

Dawkins though undoubtedly clever has turned atheism into a religion which defeats the object?

  5. I don't imagine that theists suppose Dawkins to be an enemy at all, after all, scripture teaches Christians that it's good to question one's faith constantly. I'm not suggesting that Dawkins is a closet-Christian, lol, after all, he has himself said that he enjoys certain aspects of faith - celebrations and traditions which he participates in himself.

His main gripe is the way that faith is forced upon us, so from this point of view I think Catholicism would see him as a kind of threat, after all, it's one of the more inflexible of the Christian religions.

Personally, I find the man patronising and mildly irritating, but at least he's sober, which is more than can be said for Hitchens :/ But I think Dawkins is doing sthg very important, and as such is worth listening to and respecting for stating his opinions.

  6. Mr Dawkings missed the most important point, sure he says intelligence breeds intelligence, in a kind of neo Darwinist way.  He shows how life stared and was formed in natural selection for the survival of the gene rather than the survival of the fittest which Darwin thought.  He studies biology and understands how life evolves, but he can't answer why and what happened before.  He answers most of the questions Darwin couldn't answer but still he doesn't know what happened before.
