Why do these planes keep flying so low and so close to our building? what can we do about it? Bronx ny housing

It's very loud and nerve wreaking to hear and see and feel the closeness of these airplanes flying over the building. reminds us of 9/11. it feels like it's going to crash into the building, "

Are they flying lower than usual?  Maybe due to weather or air traffic they are in a different flying pattern.  Call city hall in the Bronx and ask what is going on and if there is an airport number to call to complain.

I know here in Dallas they can't come in low over houses.  After what y'all went through I can imagine how that must make you feel.

You are on the landing pattern for LaGuardia Airport.  It is annoying, but not dangerous.  It will seem worse sometimes than others because weather conditions will dictate the approach direction in or out of your favor and low clouds cause planes to fly a little lower but more importantly, reflect more of the sound down.
